Soldiers, who had been stationed at 7th Avenue Festac, Lagos State, fighting pipeline vandals since Monday, yesterday, shot dead two civilians and injured two policemen. One of the soldiers was also injured in the shooting.The shooting spree happened moment after the soldiers received message to be at alert that robbers had attempted to rob Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), on 23th Avenue and that another set had attacked banks at Agbara, Ogun State.

Following the clash with vandals on Monday, the soldiers had placed a barrier on the road; the barrier was to show that the area was a high security risk area and drivers were expected to slow down. The victims of yesterday shooting, however, refused to slow down at the barrier even after the soldiers repeatedly ordered

HON.DIPO OLORUNRINU SUCCESSFULLY HELD FIRST TOWN HALL MEETING IN FESTAC

Honorable Dipo the house of representative member of Amuwo odofin constituency on Tuesday 10th,Nov at the local govt.secretariat in Festac town successfully held his first town hall meeting with residence and stakeholders in the community .He answered questions from a host of attendance on issues bordering and affecting the community.Questions  and suggestion like sponsoring a bill to construct another road or lead bridge out of  Festac as there is only one exit causing much hold up when tankers driver get in their crazy mood when they block the mile two exit.The fire incident in 401 road was also a burning issue and solution to curb such occurrence in the future was proffered.He intelligently answered the questions and promise to attend to all issues and not pay lip service to questions and suggestion raised.The care-taker chairman was also present at the meeting.We wish the honorable well as he tackles these pressing issues.
